This project contains a selection of the illustrations commissioned by Michael McNeeley for the old Italian fairy tale kept within his family for generations. Illustrations' styling was inspired by the works  of Arthur Rackham, but the overall mood of the story suggested slightly brighter and more colourful imagery. Since this is a very personal project, the task was to maintain visual resemblance of some family members and insert a few heirlooms and memorabilia in the scenes. The project aimed            at translating playful and humorous ways of a small Italian town and magical adventures          happening there.
